The Full Moon is rising in the sign of Sagittarius this Saturday, June 3rd at 8:42pm. I feel it is very on brand for the energy of Sagittarius to grace us with its adventurous and high-spirited vibes on a Saturday evening. Sagittarius loves everything FUN and exploratory, whether that’s going out and experiencing the world in a playful social way or staying at home with a mind- stretching book destined to take us to new heights.

Sagittarius is the final Fire sign of the zodiac. It is a mutable sign lending itself to an adaptable and flexible nature. Sagittarius likes to set its sights upon the distant horizon and is not afraid to go down multiple winding roads to end up at its destination. A sign ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck, expansion, and abundance, Sagittarius has a strong sense of knowing. Following the tiny whispers of curiosity in its being, pursuing the avenues of philosophical and spiritual growth that most inspire the soul. Sagittarius is the ultimate seeker and the destination, unknown.

This Sag Full Moon is occurring opposite the Sun in Gemini. Both of these signs rule our intellect, in albeit very different ways. Gemini rules communication, learning, and pursing duality to come to a conclusion or polarizing opinion, in some cases. Gemini loves all that is black and white in the pursuit of truth. Whereas Sagittarius prefers to entertain both sides of the spectrum of any argument in pursuit of a higher truth that is transcendent of right and wrong. As Spirit Daughter says, “Sagittarius is known for its positive vibrations but sees the world as neither positive nor negative. What happens just is, and it’s always meant to be”

Some famous Sagittarians are Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, and Jim Morrison, I think we can all agree that these household names have something in common. They are unapologetically unique and true to themselves. Sagittarius has a vision, and nothing will stop it from charting the unknown territory and epic quest to find the ultimate truth of whatever it is seeking. And Truth- with a capital T is the name of the game with Sagittarius, this Fire sign does not entertain the inauthentic. The perfect aim of the Archer pierces right through all that is false. Sagittarius aims its arrow at the bullseye every time, sometimes it’s a miss and sometimes its right on target, but never does it falter in its desire to reach the root and Truth of the matter.

Connect With Your Personal Philosophy

This Sagittarius Full Moon allow yourself to unfold from the tight constraints of mundane life to realign yourself with your personal philosophy. Maybe there are quotes or mottos that you learned at a young age that have governed the way you navigate this earthly existence. When I immerse myself in this energy, two ideas I have learned from people I admire come to mind, first is “be the change you wish to see in the world” quoted by none other than Mahatma Gandhi, and the second being, “life isn’t about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself” by the playwright George Bernard Shaw. Although I don’t think about these ideas everyday, the young mind is impressionable and it’s fascinating to ponder in awe at the profound teachers we encounter on our path, how their notions seep into our psyches and transform the route of our lives with just a mere phrase or sentence.

Release and Realign

This is a contemplative and exciting time which embodies dignity and direction. Allow all that does not align with your unique personal compass to fall away, as all Full Moons are a potent time for release. You can release thought and behavior patterns which compromise your spiritual values and perspective. This is not to be done as a shameful act, but a course correction as part of the spiritual journey is falling off the path, learning and then getting back on with our newfound wisdom! Bask in the wisdom of your own being, for you first and foremost have access to the specific guidance you need at every divine moment to hit your target.

Follow the call of Your Heart

At the risk of sounding cliché, Sagittarius wants you to embrace the fact, “it’s the journey that matters, not the destination.” So take this as the sign you need to embrace the winding roads and follow the call of your heart. Explore the unknown which sparks your curiosity, whether it be a drive to a new part of town or opening a long-forgotten book you wish you to read. Follow the whispers of your heart to the bullseye and have faith in your journey!
