1. NATURE WALK - Observe and celebrate the new life beginning
Choose a day to spend in nature. This can be a park, trail, ocean, etc. Bring a journal and small blanket. As you arrive, take some deeps breaths and observe how nature flows and changes around you. Walk slowly, admiring the colors of the trees, sky, and gems along the ground. Connect with the land- lay in the grass, walk barefoot on the soil, put your hands on a tree, etc. Gather stones that speak to you (*ask them if they want to join you before adding to your harvest). Find a spot to sit and pause. Then, intuitively arrange the items you've gathered on the earth. Take a moment to think about the abundance in your life and write down your intentions for this season. Take some of your finds home to beautify your space or leave them as an offering.
2. SPRING ALTAR - A lovely time to change or create your sacred altar for a new season
Begin by clearing the space of your current altar, or find a space to create one if this is your first time. Trust your intuition as you pick your spot. Build Your Altar: Clean the surface and smudge your space. Intuitively arrange your altar with objects that resonate with the season and your intentions (ex: plants, bright colors, flowers, elemental attributes, stones, seasonal fruit or veggies, etc). Add a candle and any sacred touches that feel right. It can be simple or ornate! Once complete: Sit at your altar, light a candle, and meditate for several minutes. Observe your breath and energy flow. Contemplate growth, healing, gratitude, abundance, and all that Spring represents to you. Return to this space daily this season.
3. DEEP CLEAN - Declutter your home with a deep spring cleaning. Clear the clutter and make space for inner abundance.
Begin by opening the windows to move the air. Feel free to vibe out with candles, music, and some deep breaths. Start at your doorway and sweep the floors throughout your home. Organize and remove objects to create an open and clear pathway. Continue to move through every corner of your space as you clear clutter. Dust the window sills, clean the counters, clear your nightstand and random drawers, your kitchen shelves and closets, etc. Allow yourself to release what no longer serves you or your home. Donate or clear all that is ready to be discarded or passed on. Once finished, take a look around and bask in the feeling of renewal.
4. INTENTION BONFIRE- Celebrate the element of fire and light. Set intentions and release them to the flames
Choose a day to have a bonfire solo or with loved ones. This can be legally at a local beach or park. If not applicable, a fireplace or fire safe container will do. Bring a journal, instruments, and music! Take a few moments to connect with the fire. Bring to mind your intentions for the upcoming season. Then, write your intentions down. Take another few minutes to visualize these intentions coming to life. When ready release the paper and your intentions into the fire. Sing, dance, play instruments, tell stories - celebrate the Equinox and the seeds of your intentions. Celebrate the fire, the elements, and this beautiful change of season.
If the bonfire is a stretch, our Intention Candle is also a great tribute to this season (and all for that matter). Clarify your intention and carve it in the non-toxic beeswax. Sit with the flame daily as you visualize your intentions coming to life.
