For whatever reason, we humans sometimes lean towards behaviors and habits that can throw us off track. It can even be seductive at times. If you're anything like us you're sensitive with a desire to understand your unique chemistry when it comes to self-care and intuitive confidence.
What is moderate for one may be poison for another. That's why discovering YOUR unique formula for your physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional wellbeing is key to feeling more connected with your intuition and creative power - which directly funnels back into the world.
When we discover a sense of personal rhythm and balance, we have more clarity and magnetism in our respective fields. The more aligned you are with your tried and true formula, the less space you have for the crap that brings you down. With practice and experimentation, what may have once seemed like a chore becomes a 'must have'. You'll be stronger, more flexible, more intuitive, and better able to surf the tides of change without a total meltdown. Most importantly, you will feel more at home in yourself.
Here's 4 tips to start your own 'Soul Love Rehab' routine:
-
MOVE YOUR BODY: Practice yoga, dance, hike, HIIT, or enjoy any other movement practices at least 3 times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes (or more). Wipe out the 'all or nothing' mentality and know that even 3 times a week will create a huge shift in your energy and confidence. Our body depends on movement to stay strong, supple, and healthy. Otherwise things clog up and our mental and emotional stability can fall to pieces. When your body can flush out tension on a regular basis, anxiety turns into energy and you'll feel more confident and clear.
-
COMMUNITY: Spend time with people who support you and inspire you. Weed out or set boundaries with the people who question your worth or belittle your efforts to better yourself. Notice when you're doing this to others (or to yourself) and take responsibility to adjust it. Also, take a chance and put yourself in social settings with others who inspire you or are a few steps into where you wish to be. You can combine step one and two and bring movement and community together, find outdoor activities or programs to join, or explore a learning course that stretches you and connects you with like minds.
-
DECLUTTER YOUR TO-DO LIST: Pick one thing that's been hanging heavy on your to-do list and Get. It. Done. It can be anything. Remember, it gets heavier the longer it sits and is often not as bad as we make it out to be when we procrastinate. What makes you feel overwhelmed or drained when you think of it? What keeps coming up but you always find a reason to 'get to it later'? Vow to get it done by a specific date, and take any steps necessary to put it into motion. Be realistic so you set yourself up to win. Schedule it in your calendar and tell a good friend to hold you accountable. Maybe you can even do this Soul Love task together. We're sure they have one hanging over their head too!
-
PRACTICE FORGIVENESS: Forgiveness helps us to move forward and helps to replenish us. It takes a lot of energy to stay bitter or resentful! Resentment can also leak into other aspects of our lives, relationships and self-worth. Often times the most challenging people and experiences in our lives carry the greatest lessons that we can harvest something valuable from. Keep in mind that forgiveness is not a gift to them, but a gift of freedom to you. Sometimes acceptance is another layer to this practice. Acceptance of something or someone we do not have the power to change (but we do have the power to change ourselves!). This will help you to feel lighter and unclog your energetic space so your intuition can soar.
Take these four steps at your own pace, and start with at least two of them THIS week. When we show up for ourselves with willingness and love, it changes our inner landscape. And when our inside experience changes, so does our outside experience.
Being 'selfish' when it comes to healthy habits and boundaries is like putting fuel in the tank so you can keep living and creating from a full cup and inspired place - so let's remove the word 'selfish' and replace it with 'Soul Love'.
